Bio

Steve Levine is vice president of communication for Texas Medical Association, the largest and strongest state medical society in the United States. Steve is a communications team player. Whether the task is message development, media relations strategy and tactics, public relations events, speechwriting or simply editing a news article, Steve begins and ends with the client’s needs foremost. And he brings his team of communications professionals – along with their magazine and their newsletter and their Web site and all their personal skills – to the task. Their job is to help their clients deliver the right message to the right audience the right way.

Steve is a graduate of two of the largest colleges in the country Penn State University and the University of Texas at Austin – and he also has two and one half years of medical school training under his belt. He has worked as a newspaper reporter for the Hearst Corporation in the Texas capitol press corps and served as a press secretary for former Texas Attorney General Jim Mattox and former state Comptroller John Sharp. As communication director at the Texas Lottery Commission, Steve helped hundreds of the state’s newest millionaires celebrate their good fortune.
